Repost of My Pasta Sauce Recipe For Those New To My Blog

Pasta Sauce

This was my Dad's recipe and is a family favorite.

Ingredients
  • 3-4 Large Cans of Crushed or Whole Tomatoes (depending on your preference, I use the Crushed)
  • 1 small can of Tomato Paste
  • Tablespoon of Fresh Basil, chopped
  • Tablespoon of Fresh Oregano, chopped
  • Teaspoon of Parsley leaves
  • 6 Cloves of Garlic (Once again to taste, we love garlic)
  • Pasta of your choice

Instructions
Place all ingredients in large pan and cook on low heat for 10-15 hours (that is the trick)

You can add meat as per taste.

Meat Balls

 Ingredients

  •  1 lb of hamburger
  •  1/4 cup Italian Dressing
  •  1 Egg
  •  Garlic Powder (a couple of good shakes to taste)
  •  Handful of Basil, finely chopped
  •  Handful of Oregano, finely chopped
  •  Sprinkle of Parsely, finely chopped
  •  Olive Oil (to be put in the cooking pan, not the mixture)

 Instructions
In a bowl mix the the above ingredients. After thoroughly mixed roll into balls. Warm frying pan with the olive oil. Place meatballs in pan. Start on high heat and lower to medium heat. Brown all sides of the meatballs and cook through. After the meatballs are finished empty into pasta sauce along with the olive oil drippings.
