~Chabaso Bread~
I stumbled upon this bread at our grocery store and it is so fresh and delish and comes in a wide variety. In looking it up online for my blogs, I discovered it is from a local company based in New Haven CT. They are also whole grain low-fat breads.
This is what is said on their web-site about the breads - "When you break Chabaso bread, the golden crust crackles. The moist and aromatic interior is laced with exquisite bubbles of air. You smile as you chew.
We take extra care and effort in order to make really good bread. It takes two days to mix, knead and shape the finest ingredients into beautiful and delicious bread. Hearth-baked in European ovens according to Old World baking traditions, our breads are celebrated by cooks and eaters throughout the Northeast. You won't ever forget the taste of Chabaso." And it is true. My hubby and I are trying the Roasted Garlic loaf tonight to go along with my stew. I am not sure if they are national or not, but I am posting the link so you can check it out....
